Requirements to Join the Community

Requirements to Join the Community
- Must be a first-year student interested in the field of cybersecurity (ideal majors include: cybersecurity, cyber operations, and cybercrime)
- Transfer students and upperclass students in these majors are also eligible for a select number of spaces
- Will need to enroll in a specific shared sections of CYSE 100: Cyber Explorers & University Orientation, CYSE 200T: Cybersecurity, Technology, and Society, and CRJS 215S: Introduction to Criminology

Requirements to Join the Community
- Any interested first-year student is welcome to apply to join our community
- No previous leadership experience is required
- Will need to enroll in a specific section of HIST 104H: Interpreting the American Past

- Attend Tuesday in-person community building sessions at 12:30 pm
- Attend Wednesday leadership lecture at 12-noon online
- Participate in the overnight retreat (All expenses are covered and transportation is provided)

Requirements to Join the Community
- Must be a first-year student with intended major within the Batten College of Engineering & Technology
- Engineering LLC students must have the academic credentials to begin at a math level of pre-calculus or higher
- Earn ALEKS-PPL Proctored test score of 46 or above to be put into MATH 162M (Pre-Calculus I) or above; Learn more about ALEKS-PPL requirements for Engineering students聽here
- Will need to enroll in a specific shared sections of ENGN 110: Exploring Engineering Technology and a math course (math placement based on ALEKS-PPL)

Events will include rock climbing socials, adventure trips, community cleanups, and skills workshops.聽This community is located in France House.
Requirements to Join the Community
- No previous outdoor recreation experience is required.

- Outdoor Adventure Community participants are required to attend the First Ascent trip to Ocracoke Island from September 6-8. You can register . Please note that there is a $50 fee for participation.
