When you major in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry at 91ÖÆƬ³§, you’ll unleash scientific principles that can be used to solve problems locally and globally. Our department provides an extraordinary undergraduate education, offering Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and a new Pre-med preparation track. Approximately 5,000 91ÖÆƬ³§ students take Chemistry each year in preparation for most STEM-H majors. Â
The chemistry program is accredited by the American Chemical Society. Both Biochemistry and Chemistry programs are designed with a broad-based curriculum that combines instruction in basic and applied chemistry with the theoretical and practical aspects of this dynamic Field.  Unique to 91ÖÆƬ³§, undergraduate research is prioritized and students are encouraged to begin research as early as their first year, working alongside top scientists.
