"Motorcycles/Mopeds" refers to all motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters with state license plates. ALL Parking Regulations apply to these vehicles.
Parking Areas
Motorcycles/mopeds with a valid permit may ONLY park in designated motorcycle/moped spaces (locations marked with an "M/C" or "Motorcycle"), unless they are parked in a paid hourly parking space. They are NOT allowed to park in normal vehicle parking spaces.
Motorcycle/moped spaces are available in 43rd & Elkhorn Parking Garage, 43rd & Bluestone Parking Garage, Constant Center 43rd Street Parking Garage, Constant Center 45th Street Parking Garage and 49th Street Stadium Parking Garage as well as Lots 6, 9, 33, and 42. Do NOT park anywhere else on campus, including at bike racks, or you will be ticketed.
Permits
Motorcycle and moped parking is enforced through License Plate Recognition (LPR) and as such, the license plate of the motorcycle/moped must be visible from the drive lane. The motorcycle / moped may be registered as an additional vehicle on a vehicle permit at no additional charge. If the motorcycle/moped is added as an additional vehicle only one vehicle from the permit can be on campus at any given time.
Motorcycle and moped permits are also available as separate permits that cost $114 regardless of faculty or student classification. This permit can be purchased in addition to a vehicle permit if the motorcycle owner wishes to have a vehicle and motorcycle on campus at the same time. Failure to adhere to this regulation will result in a shared permit violation.
